From today, passengers who have been booked through Amadeus and whose flight is impacted by an operational change within 30 days of the departure date, will receive an email notifying them of the change in their itinerary. The purpose of this is to avoid scenarios where passengers are not informed by their travel partner of these changes, which causes significant disruption at airports and inconvenience for passengers. This however, only applies to Amadeus bookings that have been disrupted and will explicitly not be used for any marketing or promotional activity.
